Text block very clean with light toning and very sporadic very minor foxing. No inscriptions in text block. Very minor wear to spine with very minor scratches. Minor wear to headcap and tail. Both boards securely attached. Very minor wear to boards with very minor marks. Rear hinge mostly broken. Dulling to page edges. Pastedown with minor wear and prominent marks and discolouration. Inscriptions and stamp on front pastedown. Frontispiece toned with minor foxing. Title page lightly toned with minor foxing and light transfer of frontispiece. Page joint broken between title page and first page of preface (pictured - pages securely attached). Page joint broken between page xiv and xv (pages securely attached). Plates toned with minor foxing. Some plates have very lightly transferred onto pages opposite. Bottom page binding string broken from page 291 to 302 (pages securely attached).
