Rider's British Merlin is an 18th-century almanac that provided information on a wide range of topics, including astrology, astronomy, weather forecasting, medical advice, and even recipes. It was a popular publication in its time and was often consulted by people for practical advice and information. The almanac was named after the wizard Merlin, a figure from Arthurian legend who was associated with magic and prophecy.

It was formatted as a yearly calendar with astrological notes, holidays, husbandry advice and weather notes. Following the calendar were geographical descriptions, descriptions of the high-ways, and names, dates, & locations of fairs.

This specific volume includes an original advertisement for artificial teeth and is bound in a stunning 18th century red leather binding with original metal clasps present.
