Uniformly bound in very attractive half leather bindings with fantastic gilt and tooled labels to the spines. Uncommon to find in such excellent condition and complete in all 21 volumes.

Condition: Very Good Plus (VG+)
Spines sunned but generally VG+, with rubbing to raised bands and most with some discolouration to the tails and a few to headcaps. Some rubbing to tooled label of Felix Holt vol 1, otherwise all tooled labels near fine/fine. All hinges and joints are fine and all boards are securely attached and bindings firm. All text blocks to all volumes are fine without any foxing, writing, tears, stains, or toning. No bookplates attached. Corners without deformity and boards slightly rubbed with a small number with some scratches, but generally VG+/near fine. No shelf lean. Some volumes have very minor foxing to half title pages and preliminaries but not affecting text blocks or title pages. Page edges fine. Pastedowns all fine. A very attractive set.
