Text blocks with light toning, and sporadic and minor foxing. Minor rubbing on spines with painted '230'. Minor wear to tooled labels. Headcaps ranging from minor rubbing to minor damage. All boards securely attached. Very minor scuffing, and scratches on boards. Very minor foxing on page edges. Minor shelf wear. Bookplate attacked to front pastedown in all volumes. 'Eaton and Son' bookseller sticker attached to front pastedown in volume one. Stamp on preliminary page in all volumes. Title pages and half titles have foxing ranging from minor to prominent. Very minor marks in volume one on page 261 (does not affect text). Very small hole in volume one on page 271/2 (does not affect text). Half title lacking in volume five. Prominent toning and foxing to pages 400 to 417 in volume five. Small tear to front pastedown/preliminary page in volume six. Prominent toning and foxing to the upper half of the pages throughout the text block in volume six. Small tear to leaf B in volume six (does not affect text). Small tear to page 483/4 in volume six (does not affect text). Small tear to preliminary page in volume eight. Tear to page 47/8 in volume eight (does not affect text).
