The renowned Stanton edition of Shakespeare’s plays in 3 wonderful half green leather volumes. In particular, the gilt to the spine on this set has a lovely simplistic and tasteful design which compliments the colour of the binding well.

Condition: Good Plus / Very Good Minus (G+/VG-)

Spines lightly rubbed with some superficial scratches and a black mark to the first volume. Raised bands rubbed the most. Gilt is bright and shows well. Boards slightly rubbed with damage to corners. Page edges VG+/NF with very minor foxing visible only when pages spread apart intentionally. No missing pages in any volume, famous frontispiece also present to first volume with some foxing. Preliminaries foxed, text block extremely clean but with very minor sporadic foxing affecting only a few pages to each volume. Small bookplate to front pastedown. Hinges rubbed, joints VG+, all boards securely attached. Some shelf wear. An attractive set.
