Contains the bookplate of R. H. A. Bennet; This bookplate could either belong to the father and/or the son, as they shared the same name. The family library was passed along from the father to the son. The duo were members of parliament and the son also became a naval captain.
Size: 17 x 10 x 3.5 cm.
Condition: Good (G+)
Text block clean with light toning, and sporadic and very minor foxing. Prominent wear to the spine. Spine cracked down the middle and loosely attached. Lacking headcap and tooled label. Front joint broken and rear joint with minor wear. Joints secure. Minor rubbing, scratches, and marks on boards. Shelf wear. Minor marks on pastedown. Bookplate attached to front pastedown. Some foxing/marks on preliminaries.
