Very scarce first illustrated edition of Pride & Prejudice (aside from the 1833 edition, though this only had a frontispiece). Highly sought after by collectors, and it is easy to see why given how beautiful this edition is - inside and out.

Condition: Very Good (VG-)

Internally very clean, very mildly toned with some minor foxing to preliminaries and half title page as pictured. Internally VG+. Boards VG with some superficial scratches to rear board and very light wrinkles to front board. Corners very slightly bent with headcap G+. Pastedown VG-, endpapers VG, half title VG with minor foxing, title page and frontispiece VG+ to near fine. Spine G+, cracked with a repair. All original including the binding and endpapers. Page edges VG with very minor marks. Joints slightly cracked and hinges VG-, boards securely attached with no signs of becoming loose. Else VG+.
