Finely bound by Harrison, 45, Pall Mall in half morocco. With frontispieces illustrating Greenwich Palace in 1558 and Greenwich Palace in 1662. A fantastic fine binding.

Text blocks extremely clean with light toning, and very rare very sporadic very minor marks. Very minor wear to spines. Gilt shows well. Very minron wear to headcaps. Very minor scuffing and marks to the boards of volume two. Very minor scuffing and prominent marks to the boards of volume one. Joints and hinges secure with very minor wear. Minor damage to corners. Very minor shelf wear. Light toning and very minor foxing on endpapers. Very minor foxing, very minor discolouration, a pencil inscription, and a booksellers sticker on the front pastedown of volume one. Light toning, very minor foxing and binders stamp on preliminary in volume one. Very minor marks on half title of volume one. Very minor toning and very minor foxing on frontispiece and title page of volume one. Very minor pencil inscription on page 304 in the margins of volume one. Very minor foxing, very minor discolouration, and pencil mark on front pastedown in volume two. Light toning and very minor marks on half title in volume two. Very light toning to frontispiece and title page in volume two.
