Fully bound in leather. A very scarce and desirable set, with examples being sold at auction houses such as Christie's and Sothebys (below).

Condition: Very Good (VG+)

Minor scuffing and scratches on spines with some sunning. All boards securely attached. Very minor scratches, scuffing and rubbing on boards. Minor mark on the front board of volume one. Two bookplates attached to the front pastedown in all volumes. Light toning and very minor foxing on endpapers. Very small hole in the bottom corner from front pastedown to page ix. Light toning and very minor foxing on frontispiece and title page in volume one. Text block of volume on extremely clean with sporadic and very minor foxing. Text block of volume two very clean with sporadic light toning and sporadic very minor foxing. Text block of volume three toned with sporadic very minor foxing.
