Cloth bound with gilt details.


Includes ephemera: handwritten letter dated 'Wednesday March 15 / 76' and a clipping from the Times from 16th July 1875 discussing Horace Mann.


Size: 23 x 15 x 3.5 cm each.


Condition: Very Good (VG+)


Discolouration of cloth on the spine and very small part of the boards. Front hinge broken in both volumes, rear hinge broken in volume one, and partial brake of the rear hinge in volume two. Very minor marks on boards. Dulling to page edges. Very minor foxing on half title and title page in volume one. Text block fairly clean with very sporadic very minor foxing and very sporadic very minor pencil inscriptions. Pencil inscriptions on endpapers.
