Text block extremely clean with very light toning and very sporadic very minor foxing. Spine very lightly sunned. Both boars securely attached. Very minor rubbing and scratches to boards. Shelf wear. Very few and minor scratches to page edge gilt. Very small fragment lacking from front pastedown (pictured). Endpapers prominently foxed. Pencil inscription and indented stamp ("S. Peter's Grange, Maze Hill...") on title page. Minor spotting on frontispice. Pencil inscription on the reverso of title page.
