Text blocks fairly clean with light toning and sporadic very minor foxing. Some minor scuffing and cracking to spines. Some minor damage to the tops of the backstrips. All boards attached with the front board of volume two and the rear board of volume one being mostly detached. Wear to joints and hinges, with some being broken. Small marks and some rubbing on boards. Shelf wear. Toning to endpapers. Pen ownership inscriptions on f.f.e.p.s. Small tear to f.f.e.p. of volume one. Plates with minor foxing. Dulling to page edges.
