Hudibras, In Three Parts, Written in the Time of the Late Wars: Corrected and Amended, with Large Annotations, and Preface, by Zachary Grey. Containing engravings by T. Rowlandson. Published in London in 1810. Printed for Thomas Tegg. Two volumes bound into one.

Grey's version of Hudibrass, originally a poem by Samuel Butler. This version has been adapted with Civil War knowledge and anti-puritan thoughts.
Size: 15.5 x 10.5 x 3.5 cm.
Condition: Good (G+)
Text block very clean with very sporadic very minor marks. Very minor rubbing to spine. Gilt shows well. Wear to headcap. Minor scratches and marks on boards. Dulling to page edges. Boards securely attached. Minor wear to hinges. Cracked joints. Pencil inscriptions to preliminaries. Repair to preliminaries. Minor foxing and marks with light toning to endpapers. Frontispiece present. Toning and foxing to frontispieces and title pages. Page 193 has a ripped bottom edge (does not affect text) and some ink transfer from a piece of paper that must have inserted in the past. Frontispiece has lightly transferred onto the title page of volume two. Small handful of pages with unevenly cut / torn button edges. Minor water damage to top corners of volume two and its endpapers.
