Two sets, one comprising 7 volumes and the other with 6 to constitute a total of 13 volumes.

Condition:

Spines with some rubbing, discoloured. Would benefit from a leather conditioner. All red tooled morocco labels are present and show nicely on the shelf, though with a slight chip to the label of the third volume in the Novels & Romances set. All boards are securely attached with some joints cracked and most rubbed. Some scuffs and marks to boards, minor. Boards are overall very good. Very minor shelf wear. Top page edge dulled as typical, though better than average, with other edges all gilt and externally very good with the occasional scratch. When pages are separated some foxing to page edges is visible. Endpapers foxed, occasionally with the first and last few leaves of text blocks also affected. The majority of the text blocks are very clean, bright, and fully legible. Some small pencil writing to front free endpapers and a small bookplate to front pastedown of each volume.
