All in very good condition, considering the history and origin of the works; As these books were often owned by young children at the time, it can be scarce to find copies in such a clean and near fine (text block) condition.

Condition: Very Good (VG+)

Winnie the Pooh: Text block near fine with very sporadic very minor foxing. Spine fine with very minor warping. Very minor wear to headcap and tail. Very minor superficial scratches on front board. Very minor marks on the top left corner of the rear board. Very minor screaming on the bottom corner of the rear board. Minor dulling to top page edge gilt. Line of toning on pastedown. Pen ownership inscription form 1926 on preliminary page; potentially original owner. Endpapers very lightly toned.


House at Pooh Corner: Text block near fine with very minor marks on the top corner of reverse side of title page to page 36. Spine lightly sunned. Minor creasing to headcap. Minor warping of boards. Very minor line to the top of the front board from being sunned. Very minor marks on boards, only visible upon vert close inspection. Minor dulling to top page edge gilt. Very minor crease to top corner of the rear board. Pastedown with some minor toning and foxing. Very small pencil inscription on the top corner of a preliminary page. Very minor marks on preliminaries.


Now We Are Six: Spine sunned very lightly. Very minor warping of the spine. Very minor wear to headcap and tail. Minor shelf lean. Very minor superficial scratches on front board. Minor dulling to top page edge gilt. Very minor toning and foxing to pastedown. Minor toning line to half title. Some pages are unevenly cut (how it was bound by the publisher).


When We Were Very Young: Text block near fine with very sporadic very minor foxing. Spine fine. Very minor wear to headcap and tail. Very minor superficial scratches on both board. Minor dulling to top page edge gilt. Very minor foxing on pastedown. Some toning and foxing on half title and on the last page. Very minor and partial break between page 64 and 65, still securely attached, only significance of light exposure to binding. Small number of pages are very lightly toned.


Signature: Lightly toned with very minor foxing. Pencil ownership signature on reverse side. Comes with authenticity certificate from Elbolsa Autographs and Collectables, Cornwall, UK.
