FIRST EDITION FIRST IMPRESSION: Our Mutual Friend by Charles Dickens with Illustrations by Marcus Stone. In Two Volumes. London; Chapman and Hall; 1865.

Misspelling of principal as "pricipal" on page 115 in volume two.
Size: 22 x 14 x 3 cm each.
Condition: Very Good (VG+)
Text blocks extremely clean with very light toning, and sporadic and very minor foxing. Some wear to the spines: rubbing and small cracking. Tooled labels present. Volume two is lacking a small fragment of the spine and a small fragment of the volume number tooled label (pictured). Small tear across the top of the spine where a fragment is lacking. All boards attached with wear to joints and broken hinges. Leather of spines is becoming slightly loose in places near joints. Very minor scuffing and marks on boards. Minor wear to corners. Shelf wear. "Guardian Office Warrington" sticker attached to rear pastedown in both volumes. Light discolouration to the top page edges in volume one from preliminaries to page 5. Minor foxing on plates. Small pencil inscription on front pastedown in volume one. Very minor shelf lean.
