Text block very clean with very light toning and very sporadic very minor foxing. Minor wear to spine cloth, including a small hole at the bottom and top. Gilt shows well. Spine mostly detached. Both boards attached with prominent wear to joints and broken hinges (refer to photos). Very minor scuffing and marks on boards. Toning to page edges. Shelf wear. Prominent shelf lean. Pencil inscription on front pastedown. Minor marks on pastedown. Stamp on preliminary. Tissue paper sheet between frontispiece and title page mostly detached. Few places of minor separation between pages (pictured). Small tears to top page edge of leafs numbered 115/116 and 117/118 (pictured - does not affect text). Small tears to the side page edge of leaf numbered 157/58 (pictured - does not affect text).
