Bound in the original green cloth binding with a sunned spine.
Contains a hand drawn bookplate listing a large number of nobility.
39 of 40 plates, lacking frontispiece but with engraved title page.
pp.19 line 6 "elgble" for "eligible"
pp.209 line 23 "chair" for "hair"
pp.275 line 22 "counsinship" for "cousinship"
Size: 22.5 x 14.5 x 5.5 cm.
Condition:
Text block very clean with light toning and very sporadic very minor foxing. Frontispiece lacking else all plates are present and as listed on the list of plates. Minor wear and scuffing to spine; Small fragments have been reattached and secured. Both boards securely attached. Both joints were broken but secured by being glued down while the spine was repaired. Hinges near fine, due to new pastedown being put down. Minor scuffing, marks, scratches, and wear on boards. Shelf wear. Minor damage to corners. Light toning and very minor marks on page edges. Bookplate attached to front pastedown. Very minor marks on pastedown. Rubbed out inscriptions on preliminary page facing half title. Some foxing and light toning on half title. Very light tinting and very minor foxing on title page. Very small fragment of a previously glued down page on "list of plates" (pictured). Some corners are very lightly creased from the corners being previously folded over. Plates are toned with some foxing; see photos for reference. Plates have very lightly retransferred partially onto pages opposite.
